Generally, I’m quite pleased with any UI handed to me. \u00a0I liked the V2, V3, V3.4 progressions. \u00a0But, with the latest CHUI update, I’m a bit less than pleased. (._.)<\/p>\n

Now, I have been able to arrange my chat window layout as I like it; undocked local chat, and all. \u00a0But, even undocked chat windows are children to the momma Conversations window. \u00a0So, if I close one, the rest fall with it. \u00a0Well… Not all the time. \u00a0If I close it then press enter to chat locally, I get the local chat window back and solo this time. (O.o)<\/p>\n

So, right away, it’s inconsistent. (T_T)<\/p>\n

Also, CHUI has eaten the chat console. \u00a0That lovely little chat bar with semi transparent text that fades away after a moment or two. \u00a0I’m going to miss that. \u00a0I liked having text on the screen long enough to read and absorb then self-clean it from my sight. \u00a0Bye-bye chat console. (._.)<\/p>\n

Also, I know vertical tabs is popular. \u00a0But, not with me. \u00a0DX<\/p>\n

They crowd out the text. \u00a0I don’t mind seeing fewer tabs. \u00a0I want to see more text. \u00a0Gladly, they can be reduced to icons. \u00a0But, ew! \u00a0I want full width text. (>_<)<\/p>\n

Here’s my FS to LL comparisons… Attempting to keep the UI as much as I prefer as possible… (o.o)<\/p>\n
