(^_^)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mkay, got my butt into early mesh stuff. \u00a0I remember that I used to say mesh was going to be easier than sculpties and far more efficient. \u00a0Holyfriggncrapinablender was I right! XD<\/p>\n<p>So, early stuff&#8230; I wanted to see what it would be to replicate and possibly even improve upon something I already have inworld. \u00a0Something easy&#8230; Something like the picket fence around my yard. =^-^=<\/p>\n<p>So&#8230; Here&#8230; =^-^=<\/p>\n<p>no images were found<\/p>\n\n<p>Now, all&#8217;s not perfect. \u00a0Details are kinda like this&#8230;.<\/p>\n<pre>Lower Fence: 4 prims (2 sculpted + 2 box)\r\nPhysics Weight = 4.0\r\nRender Cost = 138\r\n\r\nUpper Fence: 1 mesh (5 prim equiv)\r\nPhysics Weight = 0.4\r\nRender Cost = 32<\/pre>\n<p>Sooooo&#8230; For 1 more prim, I get a far prettier looking fence with less lag. \u00a0Why I lost that prim, I dunno. \u00a0Server load? \u00a0(O.o)<\/p>\n<p>Either way, the new fence stays square to the tips instead of coming to toothpick points. \u00a0The boards are UV mapped to different portions what can be a simple pre-existing\u00a0flat texture&#8230; So, they mostly look like different and separate pieces of wood. \u00a0And the physics bounding box is actually a box, just one, instead of two boxes and two crushed spheres.
