For starters… Paisley!\u00a0 That frigg’n drove me to tears<\/a>! DX<\/p>\n

So, why am I so misty-eyed?\u00a0 Easy… Take a listen to this. (^_^)<\/p>\n

I’m just… Blown away? Astounded? Emotionally impacted? … All of the above. (>_<)<\/p>\n

I mean, really… The song, first of all, is beautiful… An artwork all its own.\u00a0 It’s a total delight to the ears. (^_^)<\/p>\n

The sheer number of voices coming though have the most ghostly effect.\u00a0 There’s a softness, expected of a choir, but accentuated moreso because of the wait it was recorded.\u00a0 As you may have seen at the beginning of the video… 185 voices, 243 tracks, 12 countries.\u00a0 So, this is basically a song recorded from around the world. (^_^)<\/p>\n

THIS is the internet.\u00a0 We can joke about it being a haven for porn, identity theft, IP violations, and so forth… But, then a gem like this comes up.\u00a0 And, it is a gem… The most valuable kind.\u00a0 So many diverse people.\u00a0 So many locations.\u00a0 Many possibly not even speaking the same languages.\u00a0 All united in song.\u00a0 Once again, our connectivity has made the impossible possible.\u00a0 (^_^)<\/p>\n

And, it has heart.\u00a0 (^_^)<\/p>\n

From the looks of things, each vocalist was watching a streaming video of the composer with a copy of the music in their hands.\u00a0 Each made their own recording, via webcam and sent it in to be included in the song proper.\u00a0 While being probably one of the most novel ways to record a song, I gotta say again, the result is devastatingly beautiful. (^_^)<\/p>\n

I’m honestly still listening to it, right now, again, and still grabbing for the tissues. (T_T)<\/p>\n

This is what we’re doing.\u00a0 This is the internet.\u00a0 This is harmony.\u00a0 I love this. =^-^=<\/p>\n
